Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to optimize and automate across multi-platform environments. You will work with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS to build robust CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment consistency.

You should have hands-on experience with Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Docker, and scripting languages like Bash or Python, and be capable of translating product specs into scalable infrastructure. This role requires TS/SCI clearance suitability and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• 14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions with emphasis on performance optimizations.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, VPCs, EC2, ECS/EKS), containerization, and IaC tooling.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level DevOps Engineer with experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.

Responsibilities

Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications

Drive consistency for deployment and build processes

Utilize modern tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Linux, and much more

You have worked with teams before on large and demonstrable projects (preferably built on with AWS and familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python)

Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

You understand how to set up a CI/CD pipeline

You understand Agile software development and DevOps practices and can work closely with your peers other mid-to large size teams

Focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production ready code and infrastructure

The following skills are required: AWS (S3, VPCs & Networking, EC2, ECS/EKS). Containerization (Docker, k8s, Registries). IaC (Terraform/Cloud Formation). CI/CD (Jenkins/ GitHub Actions)

You are self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in a team environment

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
• Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
