Enlighten is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our hybrid team at Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will lead Kubernetes-based deployments, automate CI/CD, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS.

Strong scripting in Python/Bash/Go and Terraform/Ansible expertise are required to drive scalable, reliable systems. We offer a strong benefits package and a collaborative environment with on-site and remote work options.

Competenze

• Active Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development with related degree, or 7 years with Masters, or 13 years with HS.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their deployment/management use.
• Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with building apps, containers, and OS deployment/scaling.
• Proficient with Git, Flux, and other deployment tools; comfortable in terminal.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Must obtain DoD 8140/8570 certifications (Security+) within 30 days of hire.
• Hybrid work: 2–3 days per week on client site at Fort Meade, MD.

Anticipated Salary Range: $137,510.00-$185,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, AWS and a background in Big Data solutions. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the monitoring, reliability and scalability of our services. Work is performed in a hybrid environment on customer site (on average 2-3 days a week) with a great team.

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and rapid scaling.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to seamlessly integrate their applications into the operational infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve them to maintain high availability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance Requirement: Must currently have and maintain an active Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development and Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge with one or more of the following:
  
  • Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure.
  • Configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Application, container, and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools.
• Comfortable operating in a terminal-based environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Must have or be able to obtain DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (i.e., Security+) within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, averaging 2-3 days per week on customer site in Fort Meade, MD. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed. Onsite frequency and locations may vary based on customer/company support requirements and contract needs.

Preferred Requirements

• Currently holds an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Proficient knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, Helm, and other development and deployment tools.
• Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
• Experience with K9s, AWS CLI, AWS SNS, AWS SQS, and AWS Diode.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.
