Job summary

Reliable Robotics Corporation in Mountain View, California, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance workflows and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines within its flight software development team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, release automation, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience scaling CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions / workflows preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage and provision AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.) and Linux system administration.

Responsibilities

  • Identify workflow frustrations and develop solutions that delight our developers.
  • Architect and scale reliable CI/CD pipelines via AWS/GitHub workflows.
  • Provision and manage AWS and on-premise computing resources using Terraform.
  • Bridge the gap between embedded flight software and IT infrastructure.
  • Support scaling of Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HITL) test infrastructure.

Mission

Your Mission, If You Choose To Accept It, Is To Make The Developers At Reliable Love Working On Safety‑critical Software. You Will Help Identify Frustration Points And Build Solutions That Delight Reliable Developers, Including

  • Core Infrastructure: build systems
  • Internal tools: Meta‑build, IDE integration
  • CI/CD Integration on AWS/Github: highly reproducible and observable pipelines
Responsibilities

  • Provision and manage AWS and on‑premise computing resources using Terraform
  • Bridge the gap between embedded flight software, simulation, test and IT infrastructure
  • Support scaling of Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HITL) test infrastructure
Basic Success Criteria
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, release automation, or cloud infrastructure
  • Strong hands‑on experience scaling CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions / workflows preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage and provision AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.) and Linux system administration
Preferred Criteria
  • Demonstrated success in taking ownership of CI/CD systems and maturing development processes in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges of embedded systems, including cross‑compilation and integration with physical devices / Hardware in the Loop (HITL) testbeds
  • Experience supporting software teams writing in compiled languages like C++ or Rust
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and optimizing containers for efficient scaling
