Job summary

Dark Wolf in Omaha, NE seeks a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain multiple Kubernetes-based PaaS solutions for a DoD customer. You will automate deployments, document processes, and monitor security and performance across on-prem and cloud-native environments.

The role requires strong Kubernetes, Linux, and CI/CD expertise, with a focus on security, compliance, and DoD policy adherence. Direct full-time W2 employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years configuring, deploying, maintaining, and securing Kubernetes platforms for senior level.
• 10+ years administering Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• 10+ years with CI/CD automation servers (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Experience with SSO using OIDC or SAML.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes platforms across on-prem and cloud-native environments.
• Implementing DoD-aligned security hardening and configuration management.
• Automating deployments with IaC and GitOps for fast provisioning.
• Collaborating with development teams to onboard and support platforms.
• Ensuring platform and network compliance with DoD policies.
• Supporting backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Mentoring junior engineers and expanding platform capabilities.
