Metropolitan Companies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and scale our deployment pipelines and infrastructure. You will automate infrastructure, enable reliable software delivery, and collaborate with development teams across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field preferred.
• 3–8 years of DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS or similar).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with Git workflows and secure DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy, monitor, and scale applications in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, or similar).
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Build and maintain automated deployment and release processes across dev, staging, and production.
• Manage environment configuration, secrets, and secure settings (Doppler, Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot deployment, pipeline, and infrastructure issues; improve scalability & fault tolerance.
