Plutonic is a technology focused mental health services company pioneering immersive therapy solutions. We are seeking a contract Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to support the development of our next-generation therapy platform. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about mental health, experienced in front-end and mobile development, and confident working across key AWS services.

Position Summary

The software engineer is responsible for helping with development and multi-user networking in the Unity game engine as well as some back-end and front-end integration of our teletherapy platform. Extensive programming knowledge of Unity is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive web and mobile apps using React, React Native, and related frameworks.
  • Build and optimize secure, scalable services using AWS Lambda, EC2, Cognito, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver clean, intuitive user experiences.
  • Write clean, modular, and testable code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical decision-making.
  • Help support the integration of AI-powered agents using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI).

Location

Atlanta, Georgia United States. Prefer a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in React and React Native development.
  • 2+ years working with AWS; especially Lambda , Cognito , S3 , DynamoDB , EC2).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs , JSON, and asynchronous communication.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining secure, scalable cloud-based apps.
  • Passion for mental health, tech-for-good, or Gen Z-centered product design is a plus.
