Job summary

Wyetech, LLC seeks a seasoned software engineer for a high-security, mission-critical DevOps role supporting federal government contracts. You will analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, and maintain complex software systems with a focus on reliability and documentation.

The position requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a related B.S. degree (or equivalent), and 9+ years of experience (or 7+ with a master’s). Occasional on-site SCIF work is expected.

Job description

Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply, and maintain software systems. Appropriately apply discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, and other relevant topics in computer science and supporting disciplines to complex software systems. Generalize techniques, as appropriate, to apply to multiple domains. Develop and provide appropriate documentation and training. Present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.

Provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the micro‑services of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting‑edge technologies.

This position is eligible for a $5,000 bonus! (Includes 20% SEP IRA contribution)

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position‑appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g., Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities
  • Developing Infrastructure As Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools. Popular programming languages for DevOps engineers include Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Experience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL.
  • Install, configure, and provide performance tuning utilizing: Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud native logging and metrics collection tools.
  • Managing CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab runners and Argo CD.
  • Managing commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
  • Communication and collaboration: DevOps is a team‑oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
  • The position allows little to no work from home and will require a significant portion or all work to be performed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.
  • B. S. degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph and CI poly within the last 7 years.
Desired Technical Skills (Must Have 2 Of The Below)
  • Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto‑scaling.
  • Understanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP Gateway.
  • Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
  • Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.

Pay Range: $55.23 – $128.52 per hour. Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary depending on factors including but not limited to government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications; and geographic location. Hourly pay rates reflect the pre‑benefit gross wage amounts.
