Job summary

Beyond Finance is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help scale our AWS-based cloud platform. You will work on IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized services to improve reliability, security, and performance.

Candidates should have 2+ years in DevOps/SRE, hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, AWS (ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda), and CI/CD tools, plus strong debugging and collaboration skills. This role includes rotating on-call duties and opportunities for ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a DevOps/Platform Engineering/SRE role.
• Experience with AWS core services (ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm).
• Good debugging, monitoring, and triage skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain our cloud infrastructure focusing on AWS services.
• Help implement and maintain Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support performance and scalability.
• Follow security best practices across our cloud environment.
• Contribute to a high-quality codebase through code reviews and documentation.
• Execute routine deployment and operational tasks accurately and reliably.
• Rotating on-call duties.

Our team runs infrastructure as a software project, deploying cloud resources using Infrastructure As Code and a GITOPS model. We leverage best in class tools, and press to eliminate entire classes of problems, rather than execute one off remediations.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE role.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm).
• A solid DevOps/SDLC mindset, with willingness to grow into project ownership.
• Experience with AWS and its core services (ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Spacelift, CircleCI).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Good debugging, monitoring, and triage skills.
• A track record of following through on assigned tasks and projects.

What You'll Do

• Support and help maintain our cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS services.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Monitor system performance and help troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support application performance and scalability efforts.
• Help implement and follow security best practices across our cloud environment.
• Contribute to a high-quality codebase through code reviews, following best practices, with clean documentation.
• Execute documented operational tasks (runbooks, standard maintenance procedures, routine deployments) accurately and reliably.

The base annual salary range is listed below. This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus.

Base Salary Range$110,000—$140,000 USD
