Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer under ESS.

You will automate, optimize, and manage secure cloud deployment of engagement kits used for cyber incident response and threat hunting, ensuring rapid access to reliable environments for federal, state, and critical infrastructure entities. Candidates should have TS/SCI clearance, 3+ years in DevOps, strong IaC and CI/CD experience, and proficiency with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizens with active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain DHS suitability.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering.
• Proficiency with IaC tools and CI/CD platforms.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or YAML, with Git/version control knowledge.
• Experience with AWS and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure cloud deployment of engagement kits.
• Manage source control and infrastructure configurations following best practices.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision cloud resources.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud infrastructure.
• Enhance engagement kit capabilities through automation and optimization.
• Collaborate with architects to streamline deployment workflows and stability.

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting a U.S. Government customer under the Engagement Support Services (ESS) contract. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for automating, optimizing, and managing the deployment of secure cloud‑based engagement kits used for cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. Your expertise will help ensure that federal agencies, state and local governments, and critical infrastructure entities have rapid access to reliable, scalable, and secure cloud environments during cyber emergencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to national cybersecurity efforts by enhancing the automation and efficiency of cloud deployment processes, thereby enabling swift and effective threat mitigation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, security clearance, and relevant experience. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain DHS suitability. A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering roles is required. Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is essential, along with hands‑on experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or YAML, coupled with knowledge of Git and version control practices, are necessary. Candidates should have experience working with AWS cloud services and APIs, understanding containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and a solid grasp of Linux/Unix systems. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required. Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are preferred.
