Pierce seeks an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines for deployment across AWS and Azure. You will develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).

You will monitor, log, and alert to ensure platform reliability, while collaborating with development teams to optimize cloud architecture and ensure security and compliance across environments.

• Extensive AWS Experience with core services; strong networking and security.
• Demonstrable Azure experience with foundational services like VMs, Blob, and VNet.
• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for IaC.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployment. Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily in AWS, with secondary responsibilities in Azure, using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS/AKS). Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for the cloud. Ensure the security and compliance of the cloud infrastructure.

Core Qualifications:

Requirements Extensive AWS Experience (80%): Proven, hands‑on experience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, and Lambda. Deep knowledge of AWS networking and security.

Microsoft Azure Experience (20%): Demonstrable experience with foundational Azure services, including Azure VMs, Blob Storage, Azure AD, and VNet.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation, or Ansible.

CI/CD Tools: Strong experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Containerization: Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or AKS).

Scripting: Competency in a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
