  • Hands-on Kubernetes—cluster operations, workload management, networking, troubleshooting.
  • Strong Docker proficiency—Dockerfiles, hardened images, pipeline integration.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting in Python and Bash.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and distributed teams.
  • CompTIA Security+ or ability to certify promptly.
  • Willing to work onsite in Sterling, VA.

The Opportunity:

Join a fast-paced, dynamic Agile development program as a key Platform resource. You will work closely with a talented team to streamline our software delivery pipeline and ensure high availability across our multiple production environments covering multiple mission threads.

Responsibilities:
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and scale Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • System Reliability & Monitoring: Implement observability, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate manual operational tasks.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or DevSecOps in a cloud environment.

  • Strong Linux/Unix command line proficiency, preferably on RHEL-based systems.

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.

  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience — cluster operations, workload management, networking, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong proficiency with Docker — writing Dockerfiles, building hardened images, and integrating builds into pipelines.

  • Familiarity with low-to-high code transfer processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting for automation and operational support.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to operate effectively within a distributed team.

  • CompTIA Security+ or ability to quickly become certified upon hire.

  • Willing to work onsite in Sterling, VA

Desired:

  • Experience with AWS services and hybrid-cloud infrastructure patterns.

  • Familiarity with Harbor, Nexus, and Trivy in a pipeline context.

  • Strong understanding of Java software development practices.
