The DevOps Engineer position with Intershop Communications Inc. is highly specialized and technical position which requires the skills of a professional who holds at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems. The DevOps Engineer will learn and perform software development skills and expertise with CI/CD tools - Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps and similar tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive e-commerce system reliability and performance improvements through coding of infrastructure, deployment automation, and observability to enable reliable, rapid, and effortless releases to production.
• Perform detailed computer system analysis to ascertain requirements for integrating Azure platform technologies into Intershop architecture.
• Use a variety of monitoring and APM tools (DataDog, Sematext, NewRelic, etc..) to ensure the health of the software system and identify and execute improvements to the application and the database.
• Create repeatable patterns in coding infrastructure to automate production and non-production software infrastructure to meet scalability, reliability, security, and availability requirements.
• Help evaluate new software tools and technologies and collaborate closely with the development team while automating infrastructure as code and administering cloud services and database with CI/CD tools - using Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps and similar tools.
• Develop software in Java and SQUL, and use and integrate cloud services such as Azure, docker, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, and scripting with PowerShell, Python, or batch.
