Overview: We are seeking a high-caliber DevOps Engineer for our Remote Care Operations, Global Services team. Working under general supervision, this role involves performing a variety of development and production operation activities, including supporting and troubleshooting production applications, planning and coordinating software deployment and testing, and developing and maintaining software tools.

The Remote Care Operations team provides a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where engineers work closely to provide remote care software services to patients and physicians. You will collaborate with other engineers across Architecture, Software Development, Product Performance, IT, Systems, and Quality teams to find new areas for improvement by applying a DevOps mindset to our product offerings. This role requires multidisciplinary knowledge to support innovative medical devices and components/subsystems aligned with the company's strategic plan.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with developers to identify potential operational issues with software and workflows before production release.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to bring software to market.
  3. Coordinate software and application deployments and testing across various environments.
  4. Investigate and resolve escalated customer problems via Tier-2 production tickets.
  5. Evaluate existing processes for inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  6. Develop new processes to support a fast-evolving infrastructure.
  7. Proactively seek ways to enhance the functionality, reliability, and operation of production systems.
  8. Apply DevOps principles to bridge development and IT operations, increasing the speed, efficiency, and quality of product delivery.
  9. Contribute to the support and maintenance of Microsoft Azure Cloud applications.
  10. Develop tools and automation to improve workflows and processes.
  11. Support all company initiatives, policies, operating procedures, and processes.
  12. Maintain positive and cooperative communication with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer or Software), Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting production releases.
  • Good understanding of software development, releases, testing, and database management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of modern, cloud-centric architectures, microservices, software programming, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in the Medical Devices field or regulated environments.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
  • Strong communication skills at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up skills, and attention to detail.
