Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

  • Compose, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD workflows using tools like CircleCI, Github Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash) to improve efficiency.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Collaborate with development and operations to establish standards for deployment and support.
  • Ensure security guidelines are integrated across SDLC and infra management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure/app issues; participate in on-call rotation.
  • Document processes, configurations, and architectures thoroughly.

Summary

Augusta Life Sciences US is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is essential for automating and streamlining our operations and processes, focusing on infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our biotech solutions. Our DevOps will have excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. For success in this role, having strong communication and interpersonal skills is key.

Responsibilities
  • Compose, implement, and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows for various applications, applying tools like CircleCI, Github Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure employing automated configuration approaches using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages) to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems, including tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk, to ensure high availability and performance of systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish standards for software development, deployment, and operational support.
  • Ensure security guidelines are coordinated into all stages of the software development lifecycle and infrastructure management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation to provide support for critical systems.
  • Document processes, configurations, and architectural designs thoroughly.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and security best practices.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, AWS certification.
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
