Job summary

Praise Tech Solutions is seeking a cloud-focused engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based architectures across Azure and AWS. You will take ownership of migration initiatives, implement disaster recovery, and drive cost and performance improvements.

The role involves configuring AKS for microservices, building scalable pipelines with Helm, and collaborating with architects to enforce standards and best practices. Remote options are not specified.

Responsibilities

• Provision Azure Services (e.g., function apps, application gateway, key vault) and AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3).
• Migrate on premises legacy environments to Azure/AWS, achieving 99.99% uptime and implement disaster recovery methodologies.
• Work on Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS and Azure AKS, optimize application performance by 15% and reduce infrastructure cost by 20%.
• Configure AKS for microservices deployment, scaled pod, and managed services using Helm charts.
• Design and develop assigned software development tasks. Work with the Portfolio Architect in the establishment of architectures, standards, and best practices.
• Code APIs to work with cloud systems and applications, translating architectural requirements into PaaS and IaaS solutions.
• Estimate time to develop and deliver features as defined by product management. Participate in peer reviews of project software design and coding.
• Develop source code and unit tests according to technical designs. Develop technical documentation. Contribute to and perform analysis of functional requirements.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and measures required to protect solutions from security compromise.
• Comply with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements and ensure all others are doing the same.
