Atomic Maps is seeking a self-motivated DevOps Engineer to join our remote US team. You will support and maintain infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security, collaborating with data and ML teams in a startup environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevOps, strong Linux, Terraform/Terragrunt, AWS, Python, and Kubernetes experience, plus a passion for cybersecurity best practices. This role offers growth and a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and shell scripting.
  • Experience or exposure to Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform / Terragrunt.
  • Experience with Python for scripting or automation.
  • Exposure or experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of networking basics (DNS, load balancing, VPCs).
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn DevOps tooling, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator in a startup environment.

  • Support containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes) across all environments

  • Collaborate with ML, data engineering, and product teams to support deployment needs
  • Contribute to log management, alerting, observability, and incident response workflows
  • Contribute to the documentation of processes, systems, and best practices

Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote (US-only)

The Role

We’re looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team. Working closely with senior infrastructure and data engineers, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and cloud security.

Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, ML, and data systems

Key Skills & Experience

Required:

3+ years of experience in DevOps

Nice to Have:

Hands-on experience with IaC tools

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, etc.)

Understanding of networking basics (DNS, load balancing, VPCs)

Experience with cloud cybersecurity best practices

Experience with containerized (Docker) workflows, with bonus points for Kubernetes exposure

Exposure working with distributed systems and/or data driven pipelines

Experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
