Job summary

Citi in Pune is seeking a DevOps Engineer (AI/ML focus) to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for AI/ML applications. You will deploy and secure scalable systems, automate deployment pipelines, and manage hybrid cloud/on‑prem environments.

You will collaborate with global teams, apply security scanning, and ensure compliance with Citi SDLC standards while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years DevOps/SRE experience.
• Python scripting proficiency.
• Kubernetes and Docker proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures to identify system enhancements.
• Consult with users and other tech groups on issues and recommend solutions.
• Apply fundamental programming knowledge for design specifications.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues; conduct testing and debugging.

Job Overview

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
• Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
• Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

Role: DevOps Engineer (AI/ML focus) — Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst, Grade C11, Pune.

Purpose: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure to deploy AI/ML applications reliably and securely at scale.

CI/CD Responsibilities: Automate build/test/release pipelines (Jenkins, Tekton, Harness, GitHub Actions) and manage IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).

MLOps Responsibilities: Support ML model deployment, versioning, retraining, and rollback; containerize models via Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Pipeline Orchestration: Build/maintain ML workflow orchestration using tools like Kubeflow, MLflow, or Airflow.

Monitoring: Implement model drift detection, observability, and production monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk/ELK).

Infrastructure: Manage hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure and Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters for AI/ML workloads.

Security & Compliance: Embed security scans (SAST/DAST, OSS scanning) into pipelines; follow Citi SDLC and change management standards.

Required Skills: 2–5 years DevOps/SRE experience, Python scripting, Kubernetes/Docker, one major cloud platform, Git-based version control.

C11 Expectations: Apply specialty knowledge with growing autonomy, act as a resource for junior colleagues, and exercise sound judgment on risk, compliance, and reputational considerations.
