Job summary

TekCommands Inc. is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer in McLean, VA with 10+ years of experience to own and optimize CI/CD pipelines within complex AWS environments.

You will lead automation using Jenkins and AWS services (ECS Fargate, S3, Lambda, RDS), utilize CloudFormation and IaC tools, and ensure security scans are integrated into builds.

Strong Groovy/Python scripting and monitoring with CloudWatch or AppDynamics are required to deliver reliable, scalable releases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related field.
• CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins.
• AWS deployment experience (ECS Fargate, S3, Lambda, RDS, Route53, EC2, etc.).
• UCD tool experience for AWS deployments (CloudFormation, YAML, JSON).
• Experience in 2-week sprints.
• Aware of scan tools (Sonar, Fortify).
• Groovy and Python scripting.
• Automation of processes.
• Monitors/alarms/notifications for EC2 using CloudWatch.
• Experience with Artifactory.
• Pipeline as Code (PAC).
• Pipeline integration with security scans (Nexus, Sonar, etc.).
• AWS CloudFormation.
• Advanced problem solving in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps efforts across CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Manage AWS deployments including ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC components.
• Develop pipelines as code and drive automation initiatives.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch and AppDynamics.
• Coordinate work in 2-week sprint cycles and ensure timely delivery.
• Integrate security scans into pipelines (Nexus, Sonar, etc.).
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize release processes.
