TJ Consulting Group is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer for an onsite role in Annapolis Junction, MD. Candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in optimizing and automating deployment processes using tools like Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform.

Responsibilities include driving consistency in deployment, building CI/CD pipelines, and understanding customer needs to translate specifications into functional code and infrastructure.

DevOps Engineer – Top Secret/SCI Clearance, Full Scope Polygraph – Onsite (Annapolis Junction, MD)

Candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. Senior‑level candidate needed with strong expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications.
• Drive consistency for deployment and build processes.
• Utilize modern tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Linux, and more.

Required Skills

AWS (S3, VPCs & Networking, EC2, ECS/EKS). Containerization (Docker, k8s, Registries). IaC (Terraform/Cloud Formation). CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).

Qualifications

• Experience working on large and demonstrable projects, preferably with AWS and familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understand how to set up a CI/CD pipeline.
• Understand Agile software development and DevOps practices and can work closely with peers and other mid‑to‑large size teams.
• Focus on understanding customers' needs and translating them from product specifications into functional, production‑ready code and infrastructure.
