Swift is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying and maintaining multiple development teams’ AWS infrastructure, utilizing CloudFormation and Ansible to automate the deployment of the entire infrastructure, managing scripts and templates in GitHub for version control, assisting security with implementing controls to ensure compliance, and actively monitoring servers and infrastructure for issues while setting up and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant DevOps experience
• Experience managing Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs) and auto‑scale groups with AWS EC2
• Experience setting up alarms, dashboards, and alerts with AWS CloudWatch
• Experience managing files and permissions in AWS S3
• Experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation using YAML templates
• Strong Linux troubleshooting skills
• Bash scripting experience
• Ability to set up, build, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using Ansible for server automation
• Strong knowledge of git and version control for IaC in GitHub
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Experience

• Setting up API Gateway and AWS Lambda functions
• Experience working with SQS and SNS
• Experience with setting up and managing Kubernetes infrastructure
• Experience with working with multiple teams
