Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux server patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Review and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities across production systems.
• Conduct controlled server reboots and post-maintenance validation testing.
• Troubleshoot Linux operating systems, applications, and network connectivity issues.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and system recovery procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of remediation efforts and operational changes.
• Support occasional Windows server patching and vendor software updates.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reduce vulnerability backlogs and improve system security.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a mission-critical production infrastructure environment. This role focuses on Linux server patching, cybersecurity vulnerability remediation, system maintenance, and operational support within a complex, high-availability environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure professional who enjoys working directly on production systems, performing remediation activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the stability and security of critical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Linux server patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Review and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities across production systems.
• Conduct controlled server reboots and post-maintenance validation testing.
• Troubleshoot Linux operating systems, applications, and network connectivity issues.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and system recovery procedures.

Required Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in Linux Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, DevOps, or Production Operations.
• Hands-on experience patching and maintaining production Linux servers.
• Experience identifying and remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux systems and networking environments.
• Experience working within critical production environments with change management processes.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rocky Linux, CentOS, or RHEL.
• AWS / EC2 exposure.
• Bash, Python, or other scripting experience.
• Experience with Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring tools.
• Background supporting media, streaming, broadcast, or other high-availability environments.
