Job summary

Castello Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps engineer to assess capabilities, plan cloud migration, and drive automation across our infrastructure. You will collaborate with system administrators and leverage Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling to implement secure, scalable cloud environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud transformation, patch management, and ongoing optimization of deployment pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins in a Linux/Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing capabilities, identify opportunities to expand DevOps adoption and develop approaches for transitioning applications and capabilities into cloud environments as needed.
• Analyze existing capabilities to identify data migration, software modification, legal, security, and compliance requirements associated with cloud transformation efforts.
• Collaborate with System Administrators to plan, prioritize, and coordinate day-to-day technical activities supporting cloud conversion and system operations.
• Leverage experience with Ansible and other automation and configuration management tools to streamline system administration, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Plan, test, and deploy system security patches, kernel updates, and software upgrades using patch management and configuration management tools.
• Engage in the design, development, and testing of software changes to transition capabilities to the cloud, adhering to the chosen approach and direction.
• Develop, test, and coordinate deployment plans to implement application and infrastructure changes within cloud environments.
• Apply cloud engineering expertise to integrate modified capabilities into cloud environments while optimizing performance, reliability, automation, and resource utilization.
