Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to drive Kubernetes deployments and platform reliability across AWS. You will implement IaC, automate CI/CD, and advance security and observability in regulated environments.

The role requires hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD expertise, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable scalable production workloads for federal clients.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering with Kubernetes and AWS (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch).
  • 2 years with Terraform, Ansible or other automation, GitLab CI/CD, networking basics, and DoD/800-53/800-171 familiarity.
  • Security+ or DoD 8140-like certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage large production-grade Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
  • Automate deployments, services, ingress, storage, networking, and RBAC within Kubernetes.
  • Build and maintain Terraform for AWS resources and automate configuration management with Ansible.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with hands‑on expertise in Kubernetes and modern containerized infrastructure. This role will support the deployment, automation, scalability, and security of Kubernetes environments across AWS—while maintaining infrastructure-as-code excellence and DevSecOps best practices.

What you’ll do:
KubernetesDeployment, Operations, andReliability
  • Deploy, configure, and manage large, production-grade Kubernetes clusters acrosscomplexset of environments
  • Automateandoptimizedeployments, services, ingress, storage, networking, and RBAC within Kubernetes
  • Troubleshoot complex platform issues within Kubernetes and its ecosystem
Containerization & Platform Engineering
  • Deploy andmaintaincontainerizedDevSecOpsPlatform services
  • Implement container best practices including image optimization, security hardening, and registry management
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable seamless, scalable production deployment of containerized workloads
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
  • Develop andmaintainTerraform for AWS resources (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)
  • Build andmaintainAnsible automation for configuration management and environment consistency
CI/CD Enablement
  • Build andoptimizeGitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, testing, and security workflows
  • Drive continuous improvement in reliability, automation,security,and operational efficiency
Authentication & Security
  • Configure and maintainKeycloakfor identity, access management, and SSO integrations
  • Implement andmaintainsecurity and compliance controls, especially in regulated environments
Observability & Monitoring
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.)
  • Assistin design and implementation of scalable monitoring infrastructure components across infrastructure
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Advise on platform architecture and containerization strategies
  • Mentor junior engineers in Kubernetes, containers, and automation practices
What you’ll need:
  • 3 years of experience with:
    • DevOps or infrastructure engineering
    • Kubernetes
    • AWS (including EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and/or CloudWatch)
    • Container technology (Docker, Podman, or containerd)
    • Troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • 2 years of experience with:
    • IAM (policies, roles, & service accounts)
    • Terraform, Ansible or other automation
    • GitLab CI/CD pipeline development
    • Networking fundamentals and service mesh familiarity
    • Government/compliance frameworks (800-53/800-171)
    • Scripting (Bash, Python)
  • CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8140 qualified certification (expected within 90 days of hire)
Bonus Points if you have:
  • Experience with:
    • Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux)
    • Platform One BigBang
    • Vulnerability management and security scanning tools
    • Prometheus/Grafana/Loki stacks
    • Keycloack administration
  • Recommended Certifications
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator(CKA) or Certified Kubernetes
    • Application Developer (CKAD)
    • AWS Certification: Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security certification

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
