Job summary

MaximaTek is seeking a detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability. You will bridge development and operations, enabling continuous deployment, automations, and high availability with strong security practices.

Responsibilities include building automated pipelines, managing IaC with Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation, and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 0–5 years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration experience.
• Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or Shell; Git familiarity and automated testing.

We are seeking a detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between development and operations teams, ensuring continuous deployment, automated workflows, high availability, and strict adherence to security and compliance standards.

Core Responsibilities

• CI/CD & Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision, manage, and scale cloud environments using infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee daily cloud platform operations (AWS, Azure, or GCP), optimizing performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to track system performance and uptime.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage application containerization and cluster orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Security & Collaboration: Partner with software engineering and security teams to embed DevSecOps practices, manage access controls, and patch vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (Required).
• Experience: 0–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, or Software Development.
• Technical Skills (Required):
• Solid understanding of cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Shell).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and automated testing frameworks.
• Preferred Skills:
• Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD).
• Experience with database administration, networking, and security compliance.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and modern site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.
