Careerscape in Austin, TX is recruiting a DevOps Engineer to scale and harden the infrastructure powering their platform. This hybrid role blends software engineering and systems reliability, building CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation that let product teams ship quickly and confidently.

You will design pipelines, tune Kubernetes clusters, and chase root causes of a flaky deploy. You will partner with software engineers to improve reliability, observability, and performance

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Strong experience with AWS and GCP
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud cost optimization
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response leadership

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and adopt new tools to improve platform reliability and scalability
• Document infrastructure, runbooks, and procedures for the engineering team

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a fast-growing technology/SaaS company in Austin, TX, for a DevOps Engineer to help scale and harden the infrastructure powering their platform. This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of software engineering and systems reliability, building the CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation that let product teams ship quickly and confidently.

Day to day, you will spend time designing pipelines, tuning Kubernetes clusters, and chasing down the root cause of a flaky deploy or a subtle production alert. You will pair closely with software engineers to make delivery faster and safer, and with the wider infrastructure team to keep AWS and GCP environments secure, observable, and cost-efficient. COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud cost optimization principles
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead incident response under pressure
