Job summary

Nightwing Technologies, LLC in Arlington, VA seeks a DevOps Engineer to automate and optimize Bespin cloud engagement kit deployment. You will build robust CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure configurations, and implement IaC to ensure scalable, secure deployments across AWS.

You will collaborate with architects and administrators to streamline processes, monitor systems, and drive automation to support federal-level cyber operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, automation, or software engineering roles.
• Proficient with IaC tools Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Experience with AWS and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits for cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. As part of the Engagement Support Services (ESS) contract, this program enables analysts to quickly access the tools and environments they need to investigate cyber threats affecting federal agencies, state and local governments, and critical infrastructure. Working on this team means directly supporting the nation's cybersecurity defenders by ensuring they have reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure available within hours of a cyber incident-helping protect America's digital infrastructure when it matters most.

DevOps Engineers will automate, optimize, and enhance the deployment and management of Bespin cloud engagement kits. These positions focus on building robust CI/CD pipelines, maintaining source control repositories, and implementing infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure consistent, scalable, and stable deployments.

Required Skills

• U.S. Citizenship
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering roles
• Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, YAML )
• Knowledge of Git and version control best practices
• Experience with AWS cloud services and APIs
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems

Desired Skills

• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS)
• Knowledge of security automation and compliance-as-code
• Experience supporting operational or mission-critical environments
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Background in software development or systems engineering
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field , or High School diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experience

Desired Certifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certification

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
