DevOps Engineer
The Opportunity

As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission‑forward change. You’ll be working on a project that delivers an AI‑driven continuous monitoring platform that learns system architectures, identifies high‑risk vulnerabilities, and automatically directs monitoring tools to the areas that matter most. It leverages advanced analytics to assess system compliance, integrate threat intelligence, and analyze streaming cyber event data. The platform also detects malware and other anomalies in real time, strengthening defensive posture and accelerating response.

On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You Have
  • 5+ years of experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Containerd, Podman, or Kaniko
  • 5+ years of experience with container orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes, ECS, or ACA
  • 5+ years of experience with deploying and administering on‑prem and cloud Kubernetes clusters, such as RKE2, K3S, EKS, AKS, or OpenShift
  • 5+ years of experience with deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes using tools or CLIs, such as Kubectl and Helm
  • 5+ years of experience with administering Linux servers or Virtual Machines, including OS package maintenance, networking, and disk management
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud Service providers, including AWS or Azure, and their associated services and tools
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux development and bash scripting
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have
  • 3+ years of experience with distributed or streaming systems
  • Experience with programming, including Python
  • Experience with Git technologies
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
