Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems Engineering (SIWS GMSE) seeks a DevOps Developer to join our Seal Beach or El Segundo, California team. You will apply DevOps practices, automate environments, and support national security missions in a high-performance setting.

Requires TS/SCI clearance, RHEL expertise, and IaC scripting (Terraform/ARM/Bicep); onsite only with travel and on‑call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• 2+ years deploying, securing and supporting RHEL environments.
• DevOps cloud system design experience.
• Scripting experience: Bash, Python, Perl.
• IaC experience: Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SI&WS), Ground and Mission Systems Engineering (GMSE) is looking for a DevOps Developer (Associate or Experienced or Lead) to join our team in Seal Beach or El Segundo, California.

TheSI&WS GMSE division creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our teamfocuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements, design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

The DevOps Developer will join a high-performing team that is immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work proprietary programs for U.S. government customers who are responsible for exciting advanced technology national security missions.

Position Responsibilities

• Apply modern DevOps practices (including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code) to streamline integration and test activities
• Stand up, configure, and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources
• Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes, incorporating automation, metrics, and lessons learned to increase efficiency and reliability
• Automate, develop, monitor, improve, and troubleshoot across engineering development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls
• Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and traceability
• Interface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated CI or FS polygraph
• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience with deploying, securing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems (RHEL5/6/7/8)
• Experience in DevOps cloud system design
• Experience with scripting, particularly in shell scripting in sh and csh variants, Bash, Python, and PERL
• Experience writing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
• Must be willing and able to travel occasionally to support customer needs
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including on call support as needed (including weekends and holidays)

Summary Pay Range

Associate (Level 2): $98,600.00 - $133,400.00

Experienced (Level 3) $119,850 - $162,150

Lead (Level 4) $146,200 - $197,800
