Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a skilled system administrator to maintain and enhance radio frequency spectrum and geo-location systems. You will install, test, and integrate multiple frequency bands, provide Tier-3 support, and help document standards for government engineers.

The role requires experience in Linux, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps, with a focus on mission-critical national security systems and 24/7 operational readiness.

Qualifications

THE WORK

In this role, you’re responsible for system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration of VLP / LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / Radio Spectrum Frequencies, collection, and geo‑location systems and software – including prototypes, development builds, operational‑testing units, test rigs, and laboratory‑environment products. Provide technical and engineering Tier‑3 support by troubleshooting system failures or degradations and restoring equipment to full operational capability. Deliver 24 × 7 call‑in support for critical operational system discrepancies. Integrate, test, and optimize systems with enterprise‑wide infrastructures, services, and databases. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Provide technical‑services assistance to government engineers in creating, updating, and managing system product‑line standards and associated databases.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2) years of experience with an MS in Engineering or Computer Science (can substitute for the bachelor’s).
• Two (2) years of experience with any of the following: software and system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, and Development Security Operations (DevSecOps).
