Job summary

Mythic is pursuing next-generation AI silicon and seeks a hands-on Reliability Engineer to own qualification plans and stress testing for automotive-grade reliability. You will work across design, test, quality, and manufacturing to ensure robustness from qualification to release, handling failure analysis and data-driven improvements.

This role emphasizes physical-silicon work, stress testing (HTOL, HAST, TC, autoclave), and building repeatable reliability practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of semiconductor reliability engineering or related silicon production role.
  • Experience taking silicon products through automotive qualification (AEC-Q100 or similar).
  • Hands-on experience designing and executing reliability stress tests and qualification plans.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor failure mechanisms, wear-out, and reliability modeling.
  • Strong debug instincts and data fluency — identify signals in noisy reliability data.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and high execution standards.
  • Builder mindset: you create structure rather than wait for it.

Responsibilities

  • Build and drive reliability and qualification strategy for the next-generation product.
  • Own automotive-grade qualification planning and execution (stress tests and reliability modeling).
  • Partner with design, test, quality, and manufacturing to meet requirements.
  • Analyze reliability data to identify failure mechanisms and improvements.
  • Collaborate with OSATs, foundries, and labs to execute plans.
  • Trade off reliability margins, qualification timelines, cost, and schedules.
  • Improve infrastructure, documentation, and analytics for reliability tracking.
  • Operate as an individual contributor deep in reliability data and cross-functional execution.

Job description

Mythic is building next-generation AI silicon, and we're looking for a hands-on Reliability Engineer to help ensure our chips are qualified, robust, and ready for the environment our customers depend on. Early on, you'll help build out the qualification plan for our next-generation product — a chip that blends analog/mixed-signal circuitry and embedded flash memory, with automotive-grade qualification as a critical part of the bar it needs to clear. This is a hands-on, physical-silicon role — centered on stress testing, failure analysis, and qualification execution rather than software or firmware — and it's a great fit for someone who enjoys taking ambiguous, early-stage problems and turning them into rigorous, repeatable qualification and reliability practices that give the company (and our customers) confidence in the product.

What you'll do
  • Build and drive Mythic's reliability and qualification strategy, including the qualification plan for our next-generation product

  • Own automotive-grade qualification planning and execution, including stress testing (e.g., HTOL, HAST, TC, autoclave) and reliability modeling

  • Partner closely with design, test engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet reliability and qualification requirements

  • Analyze reliability and failure data to identify systematic issues, wear-out mechanisms, and opportunities to improve robustness

  • Work directly with OSATs, foundries, and external test labs to execute qualification and reliability test plans

  • Make informed tradeoffs across reliability margin, qualification timeline, cost, and product schedule

  • Improve infrastructure, documentation, and analytics for reliability tracking and qualification reporting

  • Operate as an individual contributor who is comfortable getting deep into reliability data, failure analysis, and cross-functional execution

What you'll bring
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering, qualification engineering, or a related silicon production role

  • Experience taking silicon products through automotive qualification (e.g., AEC-Q100 or similar)

  • Hands-on experience designing and executing reliability stress tests and qualification plans

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor failure mechanisms, wear-out, and reliability modeling

  • Strong debug instincts and data fluency — you know how to find signal in noisy reliability and failure data

  • Experience working cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and manufacturing teams

  • Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and a high bar for execution

  • Builder mindset: you do not wait for perfect structure — you create it
