Job summary

BD is hiring a Production Molding Operator – DMT l in Sandy, UT. You will handle materials, perform light inspections, and support downstream equipment with quality molded components while maintaining housekeeping and GMP standards.

Shifts are 12 hours (6am-6pm) with every other weekend off. Candidates typically have 6–12 months of manufacturing experience, preferably in injection molding, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6-12 months previous professional work experience required (manufacturing experience a plus).
• Prefer, but not limited to 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding presses.

Responsibilities

• Packaging, labeling, and handling of product and movement to specified locations.
• Perform limited product visual and manual inspections.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of all products produced in the department and quality specifications.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly per GMP.
• Work effectively in a team with limited supervision.
• Interpret controlled documents including work instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.
• Notify relevant personnel of equipment issues.
• Collaborate with molding team to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.
• Adhere to local BD quality policies and practices.

Job Description

The Production Molding Operator – DMT l reports directly to an assigned Operations Leader and is responsible for material handling, conducting light product inspection and housekeeping activities for an assigned set of injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with quality molded components, seeking assistance from technicians for any issues.

Schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts 6am-6pm, ever other weekend off.

Job Description

• Packaging, labeling, and handling of product and movement to specified locations.
• Perform limited product visual and Manual inspections.
• Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all products produced in the department, as well as all product quality specifications.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and align with good manufacturing practices requirements.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team with limited supervision.
• Understand and interpret controlled documents including work Instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.
• Notify CILL, and DMT II’s of any equipment issues.
• Work with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.
• Align with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6-12 months previous professional work experience (in a related or unrelated field) required, manufacturing experience a plus.
• Prefer, but not limited to 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic).
