Walmart in Papillion, NE is seeking a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance. You will support store facilities, perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs to keep equipment and fixtures safe, functional, and inviting under the guidance of the Market Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include age 18+, HS diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, sit/stand long periods, endure varied temperatures, and maintain an excellent driving record.
• EPA 608 Certification required within 90 days of hire; valid driver’s license and clear MVR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple crafts (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
• Use work order system to receive and document repair activities and support stores.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting, operating , or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related area for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
