Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Research Assistant in Developmental Biology to support studies of skeletal muscle biology using mouse and cell culture models.

You will conduct experiments, prepare materials, and maintain meticulous records to advance ongoing projects. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of laboratory experience; familiarity with molecular biology techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research experiments and assays as part of the project.
• Performs molecular biology tasks: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-qPCR, genotyping.
• Assists with mouse colony management, tissue collection, and sample processing.
• Files data, prepares buffers, reagents, and maintains lab stocks.
• Complies with safety procedures and lab documentation.
