Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Department of Pediatrics seeks a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Development, Behavior and Learning Program in the Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics.

The DBP will provide outpatient assessment and ongoing care for children with developmental disabilities, collaborating across disciplines and mentoring pediatric residents and fellows.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics or eligibility.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and staff.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and evidence‑based assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient assessment and ongoing care for children with developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with psychology, social work and nursing teams.
• Involve residents and learners in didactics, shadowing and supervision.
• Support development of a DBP fellowship and interprofessional care initiatives.
