City of Santa Fe Springs seeks a planning/building professional to support land use and development activities within the Development Services Department. The incumbent will assist in reviewing plans, interpreting codes, and processing applications under supervision and guidance.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of college in planning (preferred), and 2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination. A California Class C license is required.

Under supervision, performs duties within the Planning or Building Division of the Development Services Department requiring an understanding of land use and economic development and/or building activities; performs other work as required.

An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
