Job summary

The Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in Greater Boston seeks its first Development Manager to lead grant fundraising and donor engagement. You will manage grant proposals, cultivate individual giving, major gifts, and corporate sponsorships, and help drive SIF's fundraising strategy with cross-functional collaboration.

You will report to the Director of Community Mobilization and work closely with the Executive Director and other program leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience obtaining and managing grants from corporate and foundation funders.
• Track record with individual giving, major gifts, and corporate sponsorships.
• Ability to lead a multi-functional development function within a nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities

• Keep the development team organized, aligned, and on track to achieve fundraising goals.
• Support relationships with Executive Director, Director of Network Engagement, and Director of Strategy & Operations.
• Develop and implement donor engagement strategies across foundations, corporations, and individuals.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As our first Development Manager, you’ll share our belief that we can meaningfully drive social change by leveraging the resources that already exist within Greater Boston. Your prior experience obtaining and managing grants from corporate and foundation funders and track record with individual giving, major gifts, and corporate sponsorships will help you thrive in this role as SIF’s primary multi-functional development professional.

The Development Manager is a critical member of the SIF team whose work sits at the center of SIF’s efforts to engage a range of supporters in its work. This position plays a key role in keeping the development team organized, aligned, and on track to achieve its fundraising goals. This role reports to our newly-hired DIrector of Community Mobilization and works closely with SIF’s Executive Director, Director of Network Engagement, and Director of Strategy & Operations. This role is a great opportunity for someone with previous development experience to take on greater leadership while further growing their skills in nonprofit fundraising.

The salary range for this role begins at $60,000 and is commensurate with experience.
