SkyePoint Decisions seeks a Development Lead/Solution Architect to support the DoED CPSS program in Washington, DC. This remote role focuses on building and securing scalable cloud-based software platforms, leading engineering teams, and delivering integrated CI/CD pipelines with Atlassian and AWS tools.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in software architecture and cybersecurity, holds CISSP or equivalent, and can navigate government contracting requirements, security controls,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years of experience.
• Active CISSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise CI/CD, cloud automation, and IaC.
• Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, and AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical procedures, reusable automation, and platform documentation.
• Active 6c Public Trust or Secret clearance preferred; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Engineer CI/CD workflows using existing Atlassian Cloud, FSA GitLab, and AWS environment.
• Implement pipeline-as-code, templates, quality gates, provisioning, and release controls.
• Integrate end-to-end testing, security testing, and compliance into delivery processes.
• Implement IaC and cloud deployment patterns for portable apps.
• Maintain pipeline inventories, standards, SOPs, runbooks, and docs.
• Support compliance with NIST SP 800-218, OMB/CISA guidance, STIGs, CIS.
• Provide platform troubleshooting and technical guidance to stakeholders.

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Development Lead/Solution Architect to join our team supporting the Department of Education's (DoED) Federal Student Aid (FSA) Cybersecurity and Privacy Support Services (CPSS) in Washington, DC.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Engineer CI/CD workflows using customer's existing Atlassian Cloud, FSA GitLab, and NGDC AWS environment.
• Implement pipeline-as-code, reusable templates, automated quality gates, environment provisioning, configuration automation, and release controls.
• Integrate unit, integration, end-to-end, security, compliance, and infrastructure testing into delivery workflows.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployment patterns that support portable and severable applications.
• Maintain pipeline tool inventories, code standards, reusable libraries, SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Support compliance with NIST SP 800-218, applicable OMB/CISA guidance, STIGs, and CIS standards.
• Provide platform troubleshooting, performance improvement, access support, and technical guidance to development and Government stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Senior industry professional certification such as CISSP or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience implementing enterprise CI/CD, cloud/platform automation, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and release automation.
• Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, security-tool integration, and AWS or comparable cloud environments.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical procedures, reusable automation, and platform documentation.
• Ability to obtain a 6c Public Trust. At least an active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
