Art21 is offering a Development Intern position for Fall 2026 in New York. You will work with the development team on fundraising activities, assist with event planning, and help with donor research and database organization.
You will also craft proposals and reports for individuals and foundations, supporting donor stewardship initiatives. The internship targets graduate students and above; an undergraduate degree is required at the start.
Art21’s Development Intern will work closely with the development team on various projects related to the organization’s fundraising activities. Primary activities for the Fall 2026 internship will include assisting with event planning and fundraising outreach, as well as donor and funder research and database organization and maintenance. In addition, the intern will gain experience in crafting proposals and reports for individuals and foundations, as well as supporting donor stewardship initiatives.
This role is suited for graduate students and above; applicants must hold an undergraduate degree by the start of the internship. Applicants should have strong writing and research skills and a close attention to detail. Applicants should be organized, motivated, and self-directed. Knowledge of contemporary art and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT (or other CRM) are preferred.
Stipend: $5,712 (disbursed in first and last weeks)
Internship Dates:14 weeks (starts week of September 7, 2026)
