Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Development Engineer Technician I to support DE tests in the JNC line and perform lab testing with a focus on laser operation. You will interpret instructions into actions and experimental outcomes, potentially troubleshoot tools and analyze data for performance improvements.

Requirements include a high school diploma with significant technical experience or relevant technologist degrees, plus ability to communicate across all organizational levels.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate laser tools and perform minor troubleshooting.
• Intermediate knowledge in MS Office and some knowledge of SQL/JMP.
• Expert in execution of experiments in lab or floor. May train others.
• Ability to communicate on a regular basis with all levels of associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute engineering tests (ETAs) on production line, coupon line or laboratory.
• Oversee maintenance and train others in this process.
• Work under minimal supervision.
• Comply with company policies related to safety, environment, quality.
