Job summary

Philips is seeking a Development Engineer in Bothell, WA to join the Product Design team within the Oral Healthcare R&D organization. You will design, analyze, and verify components and assemblies, focusing on user needs, quality and cost.

The role requires 2+ years in mechanical design, experience with electromechanical products, FEA, DOE, rapid prototyping, and Creo CAD is preferred. Occasional international travel; office presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical design/development of electro‑mechanical products.
• Experience with injection molded parts, sheet metal parts and small parts assemblies.
• Experience with finite element analysis for static and dynamic stresses.
• Experience with design of experiments and requirements flow-down.
• Practical CAD experience; Creo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, check and optimize, realize and integrate oral healthcare products with focus on user and business requirements.
• Develop high-level and detailed designs and write verification plans for developed elements and parts.
• Test, analyze and verify design quality; maintain documentation for regulated devices.
• Provide input to planning, draw up schedules and report progress in a structured way.
• Occasional international travel.
