Job summary

DVA is seeking a Procurement/Quality Engineer to lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and PPAP processes, ensuring parts meet quality, cost, and timing requirements. You will collaborate across packaging, transportation, business resources, and supply chain to drive manufacturability and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in procurement/quality roles with 1–2 years in a Master’s program preferred.
• BS or BS in process, engineering, or supply chain.
• Experience supporting APQP/PPAP and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage APQP and Quality management activities from concept to PPAP to ensure parts meet quality, cost, and timelines.
• Collaborate with packaging, transportation, business resources, supply chain, and other functions.
• Support engineering and suppliers to optimize design for manufacturability and follow up on RFQs.

Position's Contributions to Work Group

Managing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Quality management related activities from concept to PPAP to deliver parts at the right quality, total cost, while meeting timelines and end customer requirements. The candidate accomplishes this through collaboration with various functional areas like packaging, transportation, business resources, supply chain, etc.

Typical task breakdown

• Support engineering and suppliers to help design the most manufacturable part. Email, meetings, and supplier visits
• Follow up with suppliers on RFQs

Interaction with team

Team will provide training and mentoring/ coaching

• Collaboration with Engineering and Suppliers

Team Structure

• 4 Product Procurement Engineer in the team who are doing similar role
• 1 Supplier Development Engineer

Education & Experience Required

• Years of experience: 2-4 years and 1-2 with Master's Degree
