Development Directors serve as strategic partners to university leaders, working with donors, alumni, community and business leaders to identify opportunities, cultivate relationships, and secure philanthropic support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and seven years of staff-level experience or an equivalent combination totaling seven years.
• Strong knowledge of fundraising procedures and donor engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Raise funds from external constituencies and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Develop and implement development plans for units and lead advisory/volunteer organizations.
• Document development efforts and maintain donor records, travel to donor meetings as needed.
