Job summary

Life Forward in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Director of Development to advance donor relations, church partnerships, and major gifts. The role leads events, oversees staff and volunteers, and collaborates with communications and administration to ensure donor data accuracy and effective fundraising campaigns.

The position is full-time, exempt, reporting to the Executive Director, with salary commensurate with experience and qualifications in the $55k-$67k range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of five years successful experience in development.
• Ability to initiate and engage with donors and potential donors.
• Excellent communication with volunteers, colleagues, and donors.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to other center locations and presentation meetings.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and maintain volunteer relationships to help fulfill Life Forward’s development needs.
• Maintain current and develop new donor relationships and church partnerships.
• Provide leadership to Events Coordinator in order to oversee Life Forward special events, including but not limited to: Strides for Hope 5k, Volleyball Tournament, Change for Life.
• Manage a part time Development Assistant and Development Intern to help meet organizational needs including supporter recognition.
• Implement annual and long range plan that includes annual support, monthly partnerships, major gifts, and special events, through the direction of the Executive Director.
• Oversee vendor in support of grant submissions.
• Collaborate with Life Forward’s Communications Director to help inform marketing collateral priorities including the annual report, direct mail, appeals, and event promotion.
• Collaborate with Life Forward’s Administrative Assistant to help ensure accurate donor data entry and acknowledgement.
• Represent the organization at various community functions as needed.
• Participate in routine staff meetings and prayer.
• Other duties as requested by Executive Director.
