Job summary

Stand Together is seeking a Development Copywriter to craft donor- and partner-facing materials that engage high-capacity audiences. You will develop proposals, stewardship communications, executive summaries, and premium collateral tailored to donors and philanthropists, aligning with Stand Together’s values and voice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional writing experience in development, executive communications, strategic communications, public affairs, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, PR, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills for senior-level and external audiences.
• Experience writing for high-capacity donor, executive, board, or other discerning stakeholders.
• Ability to synthesize complex ideas into concise, persuasive messages.
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating clear, compelling, and tailored written materials for current and prospective philanthropic partners.
• Writing multi-page proposals, case for support materials, briefing documents, and other communications for high-capacity donors and partners.
• Developing stewardship plans and donor communications to deepen engagement and relationships.
• Crafting premium collateral such as impact reports, talking points, executive summaries, and presentations.
• Translating complex strategies into audience-appropriate messaging with internal stakeholders.
• Supporting development leaders with communications for meetings, follow-ups, cultivation, and relationship management.
• Researching initiatives and partners to understand messaging context and opportunities.
