Job summary

The Opportunity Network (OppNet) seeks a Development Coordinator to help cultivate, steward, and grow our foundation and corporate support portfolio. You will report to the Development Manager and collaborate with the Director of Institutional Advancement to reach OppNet’s $8M fundraising goal for the year.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of fundraising experience, strong writing skills for LOIs and proposals, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail while

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional fundraising experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PC)/Excel.
• Excellent and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Maturity, professionalism, integrity, ownership of work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with precision and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Research new institutional funding prospects for program initiatives, capacity building, and general support grants.
• Write and edit high-quality letters of intent, proposals, and applications, and submit to funders on schedule.
• Draft and edit high-quality grant reports, and submit to funders on schedule.
• Maintain up-to-date files on institutional funders and prospects.
• Coordinate communications with funders and prospects to build relationships.
