Job summary

La Familia Health Santa Fe is seeking a Development Associate to support the Marketing and Development Team with donor data, reporting, proposals, and materials. The role coordinates donor stewardship, assists with communications, and supports events and logistics.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in communications/marketing or equivalent experience and 1–3 years in nonprofit fundraising or administration, with strong writing and bilingual English/Spanish abilities preferred.

  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with donor databases/CRM systems preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates database software with donor activities, runs reports.
  • Coordinates donor recognition and benefits program to ensure proper listing in communications materials.
  • Assists with donor cultivation including outreach and handwritten thank you notes.
  • Assists with donor communications including impact reports, newsletters, annual appeals and annual report.
  • Helps identify, grow and maintain community, corporate and individual relationships.
  • Implements Donor Solicitation calendar, annual appeals, donor acquisition, direct mail program.
  • Assists with events including logistics, custom mailings, meeting preparation, and budget tracking.
  • Tracks sponsorships and attendee engagement.
  • Supports the marketing/development team with general administrative tasks and special projects.

Position Function Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Marketing and Development Officer, the Development Associate is integral to the Mktg and Development Team providing support with donor data and reporting, assisting with donor proposals and materials, coordinate and track donor stewardship program and support for marketing and development events .

Essential Responsibilities
Donor & CRM Management
  • Maintains and updates database software with donor activities, runs reports
  • Coordinates and tracks donor recognition and benefits program to ensure proper listing in communication materials
Donor Stewardship
  • Assists with donor cultivation efforts including phone calls, handwritten thank you cards and other initiatives
  • Assists with donor communications including impact reports, newsletters, annual appeals and annual report
  • Helps identify, grow and maintain community, corporate and individual relationships
  • Implements Donor Solicitation calendar annual appeals, donor acquisition, direct mail program
Events & Logistics
  • Assists with events and campaigns including event logistics, custom mailings, meeting preparation, and budget tracking
  • Track sponsorships and attendee engagement
General Support
  • Supports the marketing/development team with general administrative tasks and special projects as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Experience And Skills/Training
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of nonprofit, administrative, or fundraising experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with donor databases/CRM systems preferred
  • Strong organizational and data management skills
  • CPR/BLS Certification required
  • LFMC required training Including, but not limited to basic Annual Safety, Anti-harassment, HIPAA Training;
  • Basic Knowledge and ability of general office procedures including filing, copying, faxing, use of a computer, to multitask within established deadlines, work under the direction of a supervisor and follow instructions for work completion, and take initiative to resolve patient concerns and problems;
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, preferred.
