RiverSpring Living is seeking a Development Associate in Riverdale, NY to support the Development Department through gift processing, donor communications, and data management in Raiser's Edge.

The role focuses on processing donations, maintaining donor records, generating reports, and assisting with donor relations and events. Strong Excel/Word skills and two years fundraising experience are required, with an Associate’s degree as a baseline.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fundraising/development environment, preferably with Raiser’s Edge NXT software, marketing or related field.
  • Strong office and computer skills including expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Demonstrated experience with Raiser’s Edge database or a similar program required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Enter all donations into Raiser’s Edge (the Donor Management system).
  • Create and manage constituent/donor records.
  • Input, update, and manage data with regular integrity checks.
  • Process acknowledgments and receipts for donors.
  • Assist in developing internal policies to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with AVP of Development to revise reports and procedures.
  • Run reports using Raiser’s Edge reporting capabilities.
  • Maintain established reports and procedures.
  • Develop data files through accurate exports.
  • Process donations and provide information to Finance for reporting.
  • Research and develop new prospects for giving.
  • Assist in Donor Relations efforts.
  • Oversee calendar management, timekeeping, and expense tracking for the department.

Development Associate – Immediate Full Time Opportunity

RiverSpring Living is seeking a Development Associate to join our dynamic team!

The RiverSpring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York.RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

Position Overview

The Development Associate provides crucial administrative support in all areas of the Development Department’s fundraising effort, primarily, gift processing, donor communications and relations, prospect research, report generation, event and campaign assistance, and managing the data in the Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for entering all donations into Raiser’s Edge (the Donor Management system

  • Creates and manages constituent/donor records

  • Inputs, updates, and manages data

  • Conducts regular data integrity checks and performs necessary clean up to ensure overall accuracy

  • Processes appropriately acknowledgements to donors and receipts of donations

  • Assists with developing and managing internal policies and procedures to ensure data integrity

  • In collaboration with the AVP of Development revises and builds upon established reports and procedures

  • Utilizes the various reporting capabilities within the Raiser’s Edge database to run reports

  • Maintains established reports and procedures

  • Develops and prepares highly segmented data files through accurate exports

  • Processes all donations and provide information to Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Researches and develops new prospects for giving

  • Assists in Donor Relations efforts

  • Oversees calendar management, timekeeping, and expense tracking for the department
