An award-winning nonprofit book publisher located in NYC’s Wall Street area, The New Press has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Development Assistant or Associate to be a key part of our development team.
Job Summary: An immediate, full-time position reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Development Assistant or Associate provides administrative support for the department and works to help implement strategies that ensure the sustainability and organizational growth of The New Press. New Press staff currently work three days in the office and two days remotely.
This role provides administrative support for the department and works to help implement strategies that ensure the sustainability and organizational growth of The New Press. The successful candidate will have some previous exposure to development, an active interest in learning more about fundraising, and affinity for The New Press’s social justice mission. We are looking for a high-energy, dependable, team player who values the chance to work with an experienced and busy development department offering a bird’s-eye view of social justice fundraising.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $53,000-$65,000 depending on experience with a generous benefits package.
