Cayuga Health System is seeking a Development Assistant to support the Philanthropy Department for Cayuga Medical Center Foundation and Schuyler Health Foundation. The role includes managing the Raiser's Edge database, preparing financial reports, and providing customer service to patients and donors.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in an office setting and excellent skills in customer service and data management. This position requires an Associate's degree and offers a supportive environment with a focus on precision and detail.
JOB TITLE: Development Assistant
Serves as main support person to the Philanthropy Department for Cayuga Medical Center Foundation (CMCF), Schuyler Health Foundation (SHF), and The Cancer Resource Center (CRC). Assists with all special events and fund-raising activities with the goal of providing support and increased revenues. Will provide support for the Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler gift shops. Attention to detail is essential in all aspects of the position. Reports to the Directors of CMCF and SHF and will be expected to provide support for the department and respond to requests for information from members of the Foundation Boards.
Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Three years minimum in office setting, demonstrated skills in customer service, accurate management of data, attention to detail, and strong writing and editing skills are required. Competency in Microsoft Office required, and experience in fund-raising-based database management and entry is preferred. Specific experience with Raiser's Edge a plus. The candidate must show an ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships among staff, other Medical Center personnel, volunteers and community-at-large. Ability to coordinate department activities harmoniously.
No CPR Required.
This position will support CMCF and SHF. Onsite at SHF 1-2 days per week and CMCF the other days.
Some physical effort is required. Light objects lifted with some reaching and stooping.
Category III. Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. And Category I tasks are not a condition of employment.
