Job description

Job Description Development Analyst Development Analysts are responsible for compiling and analyzing data for development opportunities. In your role, you will be expected to make substantial contributions to analysis that will inform the firm’s development decisions.

Reports to: Development Associates

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite key markets throughout the United States.
  • Monitor market conditions in identified markets.
  • Build and maintain financial models of potential transactions.
  • Provide supporting analysis for key financial aspects.
  • Prepare investment memoranda for internal investment review and to raise equity and debt.
  • Assist with the preparation of offers for land purchases.
  • Monitor key contract dates and terms.
  • Track and categorize project-related expenses relative to budget.
  • Perform general analysis among other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant major (Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, etc.) with an excellent academic record and demonstrated interest in real estate.
  • Previous internship in Commercial Real Estate or related field a plus.
  • Working knowledge of real estate financial modeling, including pro forma analysis and cash flow projections.
  • Succinct and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • A motivated self-starter, problem solver, and team player.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Google Earth Pro, AxioMetrics, CoStar, College House, and Smartsheet a plus.
  • Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
